I just used Healthgrades.com to find a doctor. The phone number on the page said “New patients.” I called in and they took my name, phone, address, age, and insurance. Then they transferred me to the doctors office (I thought I was talking to my doctors office) and I was told they were not accepting new patients.
Now Healthgrades has all my personal information without any benefit to me.
I called them right back to have my information removed and the operator told me they’ll “put a request in.” I asked how long that will take and they said “up to four days.” I asked how I will know if my information has been removed and they said “you’ll have to call back.”
