Avoider – A new song for Crucial Memory’s customer service department

I am liking┬áthese big clouds and surprise downpours. It gives me more time to stay indoors and argue with the chat reps on Crucial.com. I’ve been trying to upgrade the memory on my MacBook for about six months now, and they keep sending me the incorrect memory. I was assured by a chat rep named Samuel that if I were to return my memory via the Crucial website, that I would receive the correct memory when it was received. So I boxed up my old, incorrect memory sticks, put them in the mail, waited about a month, received two new memory sticks (maybe), installed them in my Macbook, got the the three-beep “this is the wrong memory” alert and hopped back into several Crucial chat support rooms, eventually got Samuel in the room who told me that the memory I had just received was STILL the wrong memory and that I would only be able to exchange it for the same incorrect memory sticks. Apparently Samuel also has a bad memory problem as ┬áhe had previously assured me that I would receive the correct memory sticks and now I am here with my MacBook’s fan practically turning my computer into a hovercraft while I choose another, more reliable place to buy memory sticks for my computer.

In other news, I went to Chez Jay for the first time and I thought it was great.
